Process system covering planning, distribution, and recording of vehicle software updates.
A SUMS is the organisational counterpart to the CSMS for software updates. It governs how updates are planned, signed, distributed, applied, and recorded — including rollback and update-identification practices. UNECE R156 requires a certified SUMS for type approval in adopting markets.
