Over-the-air software update delivered to a vehicle ECU after manufacture.
An OTA update is software delivered remotely (typically over cellular or Wi-Fi) to one or more ECUs in a deployed vehicle. UNECE R156, R155, and AIS 189/190 require update authenticity, integrity, rollback, and recording — and the update must respect the vehicle's RXSWIN configuration where applicable.
