India's emerging software-update management standard, derived from UN R156.
AIS 190 is India's Automotive Industry Standard for approval of vehicles with regards to Software Update and Software Updates Management System. It is India's domestic derivation of UNECE Regulation No. 156 and supports SUMS readiness for vehicles permitting software updates, including update signing, rollback capability, software identification numbering, and audit trails. Enforcement timelines are subject to final MoRTH notifications.
