Also known as: V&V, Testing & Validation
Systematic confirmation that a system meets its requirements (verification) and its intended use (validation).
V&V spans MIL/SIL/PIL/HIL strategies, requirements-based testing, structural-coverage analysis, robustness testing, and field validation. In automotive programmes it produces the test specifications, test cases, results, and traceability evidence that ASPICE and ISO 26262 / DO-178C assessments expect.
