MIL Testing

Also known as: Model-in-the-Loop

Definition

MIL Testing: Model-in-the-Loop testing — algorithm verification against the model before code generation. MIL testing exercises the model (Simulink, TargetLink, Stateflow) against expected behaviour.

Where this matters: HIL & SIL Testing Services

It catches numeric and behavioural defects in the algorithm before code is generated, and is the cheapest place in the V&V pipeline to find them.
