MIL Testing

Also known as: Model-in-the-Loop

Model-in-the-Loop testing — algorithm verification against the model before code generation.

MIL testing exercises the model (Simulink, TargetLink, Stateflow) against expected behaviour. It catches numeric and behavioural defects in the algorithm before code is generated, and is the cheapest place in the V&V pipeline to find them.
