Automotive functional-safety standard for road-vehicle electrical and electronic systems.
ISO 26262 (10 parts, 2018 edition + amendments) defines the lifecycle for automotive functional safety: concept, system-level development, hardware, software, production, supporting processes, and safety analyses. It introduces ASIL (Automotive Safety Integrity Level) and the Safety Case as the assurance argument.
